Part 2 of 6
Further to the previous article on products, check them out carefully. The company itself may be promoting them truthfully, but the individual you’re speaking with may be misrepresenting them, intentionally or not. Dietary supplements should be science-based and they work at the cellular level.
Are you aware that nearly two thirds of American adults take dietary supplements? But— over fifty percent of dietary supplements tested didn’t disintegrate properly in the human body! You could be taking the finest dietary supplements available and getting them for free. Health AND Wealth—what a concept!
With respect to your discussions with a distributor, I’m going to humbly suggest that you don’t assume every recruiter will necessarily want you to join their team. While you’re evaluating them and their opportunity, they are evaluating YOU! Successful entrepreneurs know what they’re looking for, and aren’t desperate and joining forces with everyone they call. If you don’t come across as meeting their criteria, they may tell you so, or they just may not contact you again.
Don’t take it personally. If you were completely honest with them about everything, that’s all you need to do. It just means the perfect business opportunity for you is around the corner. And don’t be afraid to tell them you’d really like to try the products. They can set up an account for you, and who knows? After you try the products for awhile, you may be so excited about them that you decide you really want to join the company. If you contact them again, the timing may be perfect for both of you.
Something else you’ll want to know: how long has this individual been building their business? Now, I’m probably not going to say what you think. It can be better to get on board with someone who is relatively new to the business (up to 5 years) than an old pro with a huge downline.
Here’s why: someone who is still ACTIVELY building their organization will probably actively work with YOU and be available to you. The old pro may have other people building the business now and creating the residual income while Joe Pro is out on the golf course, traveling, or whatever they like to do. You may never hear from them again. Don’t fault them for it; they’re enjoying the benefits of leveraged and residual income, which is, or should be, every network marketer’s long term goal.
And look at it this way: if you will only join a large, long-established organization, how can you expect anyone to partner with YOU when you’re brand new? Ah-ha!
You do need to know who you’ll be working with, however. Is this sponsor a lone wolf or recruiting machine that racks ‘em up and then moves on to more challenging things than training a rookie, or do they have a strong team in place that holds regular trainings for everyone on the team? If they still participate in these trainings, even better.
The latter is probably the best case scenario because you'll have a number of people and several styles to learn from. You’ll always have someone to call for assistance and can work alone on your perfect business opportunity, but you’ll never BE alone. If you won’t have your actual sponsor to turn to, you need to be sure you have a ‘surrogate sponsor’ to take you under their wing. Our team has a training manager who spearheads the trainings every week, so there’s no shortage of available information and grooming for advancement...
