What is the Source of Your Next Opportunity?


What is one of your biggest problems or concerns today? Is it your financial situation, your health, your job, or lack of job, or any of dozens of others.

What is your foremost dream and desire? Is it financial independence, great health, relocating to your paradise, or helping others achieve their dreams?

Consider the next question very carefully. How do you view your problems or concerns and your dreams and desires? Do you see them as insurmountable and unattainable or do you see the many opportunities associated with your problems or dreams?

In every situation there are opportunities, even some life changing opportunities. The truth is, there is a fortune in each of your problems and dreams. The number of opportunities from one circumstance is amazing.

Opportunity is defined as “a combination of circumstances favorable for the purpose”, and “a good chance”. It is interesting that some of our biggest problems create the most favorable circumstances, or opportunities.

Many of the world’s great creations and breakthroughs have been the result of someone solving a problem, or perceived problem. Richard Simmons built an exercise empire out of his problem of being overweight. In an attempt to solve his father’s health problems Robert Jarvick invented the artificial heart. Both afore mentioned individuals contributed much to our society, and in the process created wealth for themselves. The list is extensive of those individuals who have taken great action in the face of what they considered problems, and great opportunities.

There are three key elements to the foregoing examples. First is the perception of a situation, or problem, which needs changing. Second is the vision to see an opportunity and a solution for that problem. Third is taking consistent, persistent action to make that vision a reality.

Each day new opportunities come our way. At the very basic level we always have the opportunity to be better at what we are doing, which often leads to unimagined, even life changing opportunities. Author and coach Jim Rohn puts it this way. “Every person you meet – what couldn’t it be? Unlimited! Maybe a friend for life. The next person could be an open door to retiring. The next person could be a colleague for years to come. It’s big time stuff”.

How many times have you looked back with regret about having let an opportunity pass you by? At the time you may not have recognized that an opportunity was in front of you or you dismissed it because you couldn’t see its true potential and value. The point is not to focus on past decisions but to become more aware and sensitive to present and future opportunities. A wise man once told me “don’t look to the past and what might have been. Look to the future and what might be”. What great advice!

What do you want out of life? Is your present situation providing the life and lifestyle you really want? Are you seeking to change the direction, and results, in your life? If you are looking for new opportunities are you really serious about making change, taking advantage of opportunity, and taking consistent and persistent action? All it takes is desire and a belief in self to achieve great success in any endeavor you choose.

Today simply focus on being the best you can be in whatever you do. At the same time open your eyes, and mind, to the many opportunities life has to offer. Who knows, the next idea could be your ‘life changing opportunity’.

Practically every man's supplication is to either win the lotto or become a business big shot. But even a traditional "street side" enterprise would entail considerable greenbacks to initiate. However, the genesis of the Internet made an average man's dream come true. Web-based businesses do not require big bucks funding and usually have greater flexibility than brick-and-mortar operations.

Although the prevailing drift towards working at home was attributed to working moms wanting to stay home for their children, current statistics reflect that majority of at-home workers are men who are enabled by the Net terminal to build up a booming future. Billions of dollars of ebay commerce and online businesses are operated from the bedroom; the Web phenomenon have made many ritzy rich, and even the scandal-ridden MLM businesses were, inarguably, profitable spinoffs of the cyberspace. Some people indiscriminately get carried away by excitement and incur wanton expenses on nonessentials which could be avoided if a strict research is done. Configure a spending plan and stick to it. Do You Know How to Choose the PERFECT Network Marketing Opportunity for YOU? - Part 6


Part 6 of 6

On gratitude: I’ve sent many samples to prospective customers and business partners, and some of them didn’t even acknowledge that they received them, never mind thank me. If someone takes the time and effort to send a sample to you, return the favour by letting them know you got it, thank them, and follow up with them once you’ve tried it to give them some honest feed back.

A critical point to note: although network marketing has certainly come into its own in the past five years or so, it's still regarded by many as an MLM scam, a pyramid scheme, a waste of time and money... we’ve heard it all. This is pure ignorance. If these people listened to any of the expert wealth-building multi-millionaires in the world, they’d know a network marketing business is far from an MLM scam; it's mandatory if the average person wants to elevate their financial situation and retire above the poverty line, never mind enjoy true financial freedom. I predict there will come a time when people will think you're an idiot if you don't have an MLM business.

If you are finally of the mind that nothing in your life will change if you don’t do something different—CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are listening to Spirit, your heart, your gut, and you’re absolutely right. You’re on the brink of taking the inspired action that will enable you to reach your dreams. DON’T LET ANYONE TALK YOU OUT OF IT. You need to do this. It’s part of who you are.

Of course it’s a lot better to have their support, but let them ridicule you for getting sucked into an MLM scam. Let them sneer with disapproval. Let them turn their backs on you, if that’s how they are. If you have a strong enough desire to succeed, you will, and letting small thinkers trample your dreams will leave you a frustrated and bitter person.

You’ll be one of those saying, “If only I hadn’t listened to them. If only I’d done what I wanted to do, I could be debt-free and taking eight weeks holidays a year by now. I could be spending a lot more time with my kids, I could have bought a new house by now, a new car...” You have those dreams for a reason. You deserve them. Don’t let anyone hold you back. Don’t associate with what master trainer Kim Klaver calls “pukies”. Make your business partners your new friends, and listen only to them and those who support you. They'll help you fight the network marketing fears.

Thanks to all of those who helped me, the advice they shared, other supportive people and my own desire and determination to become the kind of person someone would want to partner with, I was able to morph into someone I’d only dreamed I could be, and I’m not done yet!

One last word of advice—don’t fall prey to ‘buyer’s remorse’. If you did your research and felt good about making your decision for all the right reasons but days later are panic-stricken and asking, “Egads--what have I done?” (like I was) don’t let ego or the logical side of your brain second guess you. I told my mentor about my network marketing fears and we laughed about it. I’ve never looked back.

This is an important LIFE decision. You went with your gut, and your heart, and that’s the right thing to do. Armed with all I’ve shared above, you will make the right decision to banish your network marketing fears. Ego will always TRY to protect you and keep you safe, but unfortunately, that means preventing you from stepping outside your comfort zone. That's what average people do; stay safe, out of fear. If you and I were average, I wouldn't have written this, and you wouldn't be reading it.

If you stay where ego feels you’re safe, you’ll never grow, and you’ll never accomplish anything worthwhile beyond what you’re currently doing. Tell ego, “thanks very much for looking out for me, but I can take it from here.” It takes courage to have a dream. Go for it. Walk with Spirit, with all you’ve got, and it’s yours for the taking.

More on prospecting the MLM markets; the experts recommend we use a combination of methods to build our organization. Most people are a little leery of bombarding their friends, family and associates at first for fear of alienating them, yet most companies instruct you to make a list of 100 people you know and hit ‘em all right off the bat. I personally feel it’s preferable to build your business using other MLM markets, and then when you have positive results to show your family, tell them about it if you choose, and IF THEY ASK.

Each one of us has only so many relatives and will soon run out of what we refer to as our 'warm market'. That’s why I have the website, lead tracking system, email, lead brokers and proprietary lead generating programs so anyone, anywhere is our MLM market. If you are serious about building the kind of organization that will enable you to live the life you desire and deserve, you should be prepared to harvest the unlimited world MLM markets. Don't worry about the how, just be open to it.

Having said that, your company of choice MUST be licensed and technologically able to do business in multiple countries.

When researching MLM opportunities, remember to ask about how the product is delivered to the customer. Do you order the products for customers and deliver it, do you take the product from an inventory you keep at your home, or does the parent company handle the orders and ship directly so you’re hands off when it comes to processing them? In my company, we need not handle ANY product unless we choose. That leaves more time for us to take care of the important business-building and income-generating activities.

In addition, the company takes care of collecting the appropriate sales tax at each transaction. I really don’t want to be involved in that, do you? In my state, it means I don’t have to apply for a Sales Tax Transaction Privilege tax number.

Another important aspect of researching MLM opportunities, is general information for small business owners like MLM tax info that will help you get up and running quickly and effectively and enable you to seamlessly carry on a legitimate business with ease. Does the parent company provide its associates with basic strategies for entrepreneurs running their first business?

We have all kinds of information and training for entrepreneurs to help us to be as effective and profitable as possible. In order to take advantage of the tax saving benefits of a home business, you must know the MLM tax info that applies to you.

Now...If you’re ready to begin researching MLM opportunites, based on what I’ve shared here, write down ALL your questions and ASK them. Document the answers. Take your time to learn what you need to know to be able to make a sound business decision. Is it a good fit for you? If you’re not marketing a product or products you can be passionate about, you simply won’t do very well. Could you get excited about telling people about an air purifier? Or do you lean more toward the nutritional industry?

Please be courteous to the person who has spent their valuable time with you while researching MLM opportunites, and be decent enough to call ALL the people you’ve spoken with, if applicable, about their individual opportunities and tell them your decision. They deserve to know if they can close their file on you and move on to other prospects. If you prefer, just send them a brief email instead of calling. Wouldn’t you want the same consideration? What goes around, comes around...

Getting back to what your sponsor may have to offer in addition to training, did they have an MLM coach specifically?

I’ve also studied wealth-building and I advise others on the best proven techniques for maximizing their income. I've also paid big bucks for several Leadership and Self-Mastery programs.This isn’t a game, it’s my dream, and I’m building a solid, outrageously profitable business so I can live my dreams.

Notable MLM coach Jim Rohn says, “If you help enough people get what they want, you’ll get what you want.” That’s exactly what I’m doing. I’m doing everything in my power as a mentor to help as many people as possible make a better life for themselves and live their dreams. In so doing, I’ll get what I want, too. This is the way the Universe works.

Be sure to find out what you’ll get for your start-up money. Is it a good deal or not? Will any of it go toward building your business? When you join my team, if you choose the most popular start-up option, for example, you will immediately get points added to your organization to start you on your way to making some money.


For MLM resources, you’ll get a turnkey online system to connect you with the parent company, a website, and access to more information than you’d be able to assimilate in six months. You also get a large sampling of various products to try so you can build your belief in them. You’ll save a substantial amount over the retail price. Now that is a good and fair deal, wouldn’t you say?

What kind of marketing tools does the company provide? You’ll need business cards, of course, but what else? Brochures. Email and an Internet presence is critical today. You need at least one website. I have two; the corporate site for retailing the products and a team site for prospecting that attracts precisely the kind of people we’re looking for.

What kind of MLM prospecting will you favour? Do you love to talk to people face to face? Do you look forward to telling everyone you know about your new business and your fantastic products, or will you prefer to find people via the Internet and do presentations via the telephone, using web sites and webmail?

Do you want to go out and meet people in town, or do you want to purchase leads? Do you want to participate in trade shows and open house-style events with related vendors? There are benefits to all, but again, you need to find a team that focuses on the best fit for you, because if you detest MLM prospecting, you’ll never succeed in your business. You MUST learn to love MLM prospecting and have fun with it.

Look for a mentor and MLM coach who puts people at ease, who didn’t steamroll you, but asked politely if they may assist you, and how. If we give people choices and ample opportunity to say “no”, they’ll be a lot more willing to listen. If we know how to let the prospect come up with the reasons for moving forward or not, we’ll never experience rejection and we can actually ENJOY finding our business partners.

Do You Know How to Choose the PERFECT Network Marketing Opportunity for YOU? - Part 3

No matter what you think— you cannot learn how to be effective in the network marketing industry all by yourself. (at least, not before you go broke).
With respect to MLM income, make sure you understand, as least superficially, how you will make your money. What are the start-up costs? How many ways can your actions bring in cash? What percentage commission will you get on the products you market? How much do you make when you add a new member to your organization? Are there any bonuses? My company's compensation plan is award-winning and maximizes the amount we can make in a fair and lucrative manner.

Be wary of companies that offer huge incentives and commissions. They could put themselves out of business trying to create an attractive comp plan. It’s happened. And don’t let a distributor talk you into a start-up package that doesn’t fit what you want to do, for their own monetary benefit. They should explain all the options to you, ask you some key questions, and recommend one that suits what you’re looking for, letting you make the final decision.

How often will you get paid? Most pay monthly, but I get paid weekly, and any volume I don’t get paid on one week, carries over to the next. I don’t lose those points. Not all distributors can honestly say that. Be sure you’re dealing with someone of integrity. There’s no room for smoke and mirrors when you’re deciding what company and mentor to partner with. Don't get hooked up with the kind of person who's given the network marketing industry a bad name.

Suppose you don’t have any activity in your organization one or more months. Will you be penalized? If not, what ensures your business centres remain open? In some companies you can pay a cash sum. In my company, you simply order 100 points worth of product each month to keep your business centres open. I love our products and use so much, I can easily buy 200 points worth in a month, and my business centre gets credit for those points.

A word on etiquette: don’t ask the distributor how much money they make. What they make is, frankly, none of your business. Do people ask you how much YOU make? It’s a little crass, isn’t it?

Besides, we’re all individuals. What anyone makes has no bearing on how much your MLM income will be. We all have a unique skill set to contribute, our own ‘why’, work ethic and desire to succeed. In my company it’s against policy to disclose our MLM income because in the past, doing so has been misconstrued as a guarantee by some prospects. There are NO GUARANTEES, and anyone who tells you different is not being truthful. They can only show you an ideal projected MLM income “in a perfect world” as our leader says. If you're coachable, do as you’re told and as illustrated by the team and don’t quit, you will be successful, but there can be no MLM income guarantees. Period.

Here’s a more important consideration. What, specifically, does this sponsor have to offer you, in addition to MLM training? What kind of applied education do they have that they’ll be passing on to you to increase your chances of success? Are they just going to regurgitate the MLM training information available to anyone on the company website? What MLM training materials might they be able to share with you?
