Blogs and RSS technology offer network marketers with one of the most amazing opportunities to build relationships with prospects and customers that has ever been available.
As a network marketer myself, I know that relationship-centric activities are the ones where the most payoff lies in the long run. We all like to do business with those we like and trust. It has always, and will continue to be so for ever, until the end of the world.
The secret to success in Network Marketing is to continue to do those activities that the unsuccessful do not like to do.
One of those is to build relationships with people in a giving way, without ever stopping to count the cost.
Today's Internet marketing paradigm is one of the email marketer "squeezing" your email address in order to bombard you with email after email until you either buy something or unsubscribe.
Does this ring true with anyone?
This is the "drive it 'till it drops" mentality that I simply have no time for.
"The Money Is In The List!"
I hate this saying. It is complete BS!
In any business, and particularly the Network Marketing business, the money is in the relationships you invest in, develop, and then manage over time.
Relationships are what monetizes, not the numbers on your list.
People become immuned to this nonsense very quickly.
As a consumer, I want value, not the next latest and greatest. I want some of you, not what you sell!
It is not about the massive numbers you build on your list. It is ALL about the quality of the relationships you hold under your custodianship.
Relationships require an effort from you. That is why most networkers fail. They are rarely taught the importance of this basic human need in business value generation. We are all human beings, and our basic needs must always be met.
Business or pleasure, we all love to be with those we like and trust.
I make my Blog available to all to take my regular posts, and become familiar with me and my values as a business owner and person. This "pulling" approach to marketing on the Internet will change the way we think as marketers.
Blogs are a Network Marketers dream come true. You can express yourself regularly to your target audience , and they will listen because they are "pulling" the information. It is not being "pushed" at them.

The Money Is NOT In The List

Marketing a Home Based Business

Home businesses, like other businesses, aren't successful just because they exist.
If you want to work at home, you have to learn about marketing a home based business.
Marketing depends in large part on the type of business you have. Marketing on the internet works for most kinds of home business. Even if you plan the bulk of your business from your local area, a website adds professionalism. When sending emails, make sure you include information about your business in your signature file.
Of course, if your home based business is also internet-based, it is essential for you to learn to market on the internet. Techniques for marketing a home based business on the web include pay-per-click advertising, weblogs, and your website. You can also network online through message boards and mailing lists.
An often overlooked tool for marketing a home based business is staying in touch with former clients. You can do this through the phone or through email. Email is often the preferred choice because potential clients look at email when they have time and are not interrupted to do it, as they are on the phone. When emailing former clients, let them know you enjoyed working with them and want them to remember you for future projects.
Look for ways to meet potential customers. Go to trade meetings or conventions. For example, if you are selling pet products, attend dog shows and county fairs.
The major ways for marketing a home based business are similar to other businesses. Find customers you can serve and find ways to let them know you exist. After they become clients, serve them well and ask for future business. This is how you keep your business running.

Adsense Is Essential For Content Sites for 3 Reasons

To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.
The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.
The search engine is the one handling all the tracking and payments, providing an easy way for webmasters to display content-sensitive and targeted ads without having the hassle to solicit advertisers, collect funds, monitor the clicks and statistics which could be a time-consuming task in itself. It seems that there is never a shortage of advertisers in the program from which the search engine pulls the Adsense ads. Also webmasters are less concerned by the lack of information search engines are providing and are more focused in making cash from these search engines.
The first reason why Adsense is essential for content sites is because it already has come a long way in understanding the needs of publishers and webmasters. Together with its continuous progression is the appearance of more advanced system that allows full ad customization. Webmasters are given the chance to choose from many different types of text ad formats to better complement their website and fit their webpage layout.
The different formatting enables the site owners the possibility of more click through from visitors who may or may not be aware of what they are clicking on. It can also appeal to the people visiting thus make them take that next step of looking up what it is all about. This way the people behind the Adsense will get their content read and making profit in the process.
The second reason is the ability of the Adsense publishers to track not only how their sites are progressing but also the earnings based on the webmaster-defined channels. The recent improvements in the search engines gives webmasters the capability to monitor how their ads are performing using customizable reports that has the capacity to detail page impressions, clicks and click-through rates. Webmasters and publishers can now track specific ad formats, colors and pages within a website. Trends are also easily spotted.
With the real-time reporting at hand, the effectiveness of the changes made will be assessed quickly. There would be time to sort out the contents that people are making the most clicks on. The ever-changing demands would be met while generating cash for the webmasters and publishers. The more flexible tools are also allowing webmasters to group web pages by URL, domain, ad type or category, which will provide them some accurate insight on which pages, ads and domains are performing best.
The last and final reason is that the advertisers have realized the benefits associated having their ads served on targeted websites. Thus increasing the possibility that a prospective web surfer will have an interest in their product and services. All because of the content and its constant maintenance. As opposed to those who are no using Adsense in their sites, they are given the option of having other people do their content for them, giving them the benefit of having successful and money-generating web sites.
Adsense is all about targeted content, the more targeted your content is, the more target the search engines’ ads will be. There are some web masters and publishers who are focused more on their site contents and how best to maintain them rather than the cash that the ads will generate for them. This is the part where the effectiveness is working its best.
There was a time when people were not yet aware of the money to be achieved from advertisements. The cash generated only came into existence when the webmasters and publishers realized how they can make Adsense be that generator. In those days, the content was the most important factors that are taken quite seriously. It still is. With the allure of money, of course.

The Case For A Network Marketing System

Modern congested lifestyles makes it very difficult to carve out time for residual income development. However, facts show us that it's needed now more than ever. The cost of living rising and all those goodies we want are pulling things apart at opposite ends. So how can we do this thing? Maybe this is the answer for you.
Time Constraints:
Find and use an automated system that works around the clock for you regardless of what you're doing. Systems normally don't fail but people do. Fail in the sense that we get tired, grouchy, irritable and so busy working we don't even have time to make a life. Using the internet today could be very viable option for you since we have such a broad audience to draw from.
What the system does and should do:
Take the workload off you. An automated system can send emails to thousands of potential business partners in a very short period of time in some cases just a few minutes. The email invites them to refer to your website (which most likely comes with the system but personalized to you) to investigate your offer. Many times there is a very well and reasonably good presentation of why someone should consider joining your network. The system until the visitor has opted out of the system, receives several pre-arranged emails on a systematic basis reminding them to take an action. Once the prospect has joined you a different series of emails begins the introductory and training process. During the introduction they are also taught how to set up a similar system such as yours there multiplying you and your efforts.
Remember, all this is taking place as you sleep, eat and take care of other business. The system works faithfully and consistently for you regardless of what's going on in your life. Imagine what it would cost to hire one or two full time employee's to do all that work for you. So, there's no reason you can't develop a residual income.
System leads:
You'll need to buy some leads to put into the system for it to start the prospecting process. It's fairly inexpensive to purchase email addresses of people that have requested business opportunity information or have shown an interest in a home based type business. You can also refer people to your own personal business opportunity site as well. So, a combination of activity getting folks to view your site all works. It's a matter of how you want to go about the process.
K.I.S.S.
What could be simpler that that? Some folks drive 50 to 100 miles or more a day to work in some office with all the headaches, wear and tear on cars, clothes, our nerves and eating up all of our personal time it seems to many of us there's certainly a better way and there is if you have the good sense to use a network marketing system that's automated.

Are You An Entrepreneur?

If you were to look up the word entrepreneur in the dictionary you would find that it means "a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, a business usually with considerable initiative and risk." These days the term entrepreneur is used so much that it seems like everybody from stay at home moms, to the local tattoo artist, are claiming to be such. The truth is that as fancy as this word maybe, anyone can be an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurs can be any shape, size, age, race or religion. What makes an entrepreneur an entrepreneur is commitment, the willingness to lead and the passion to succeed. There are certain characteristics that many of the world's most successful entrepreneurs share. Listed below are a few traits that can help you determine if you truly are an entrepreneur.
Great Focus - True entrepreneurs have great focus. These are individuals that once they have a goal set, no one or nothing can stop them from accomplishing that goal.
Creative - Most entrepreneurs have a seemingly effortless way of being creative. Thinking outside the box; that characteristic alone creates a greater earning potential for their business.
Good With Money - Being able to keep track and manage money wisely is another well-known characteristic of an entrepreneur. Knowing where every dollar and cent is and where they are going is very important to entrepreneurs.
Decision Maker - One who can make big decisions on their own without worrying about others opinions. Being able to stand behind their decision without any doubt whatsoever.
The Ability To Lead - Most entrepreneurs put themselves in the position of being the boss. This may mean that this person has employees under him/her. In this instance, the individual must be able to lead and give direction to others in a clear and productive manner.
Always Learning - True entrepreneurs never stop learning. They are always eager to discover new, more efficient ways to make their business more successful. Learning is a desire, not a necessity for these people.
Fearless - Having no fear is definitely a characteristic of a entrepreneur. Not fearing critics, competitors, consumers and most of all, not fearing failure. Not fearing these things is automatic for any real entrepreneur.
The list above will help you determine if you are indeed an entrepreneur. If you are not an entrepreneur, but aspire to be one you will need to develop most if not all of these traits. If you take the time to embrace and practice these traits; you will be well on your way to becoming a successful entrepreneur!

Putting All the Pieces Together - Part 2

In part 1 of this article I introduced you to some of the pieces necessary to building a solid and profitable business. I ended the article with one question:
Why aren't sponsors sharing their marketing/advertising strategies with you?
I think this is a very good question. Why aren't sponsors starting the training/learning process by introducing you to what works -- or at least what's worked for them? Simple....
Some sponsors have built their business the old fashioned way -- warm market followed by cold calls and building relationships with total strangers in an effort to increase their business numbers. Actually, I shouldn't say "some" but most have done it the old fashioned way.
Now I'm not saying that you need to sit at your computer all day and deal with people only through email -- I hate that just as much as the other guy. What I am saying is that more and more people are staying home and getting everything they need from the internet. We can now order everything -- including pizza -- by logging into the internet and searching for it. Why does everyone prefer the internet over leaving the house?
Easy -- search engines can find you whatever you're looking for -- all you have to do is ask for it. They don't give you a hard time and ask why you want to know.
Can you do that at the mall? I mean really -- can you go into any store in the mall, ask a question and get the best possible answer without a hassle? Heavens NO! You'll be lucky if the store employee can direct you to the nearest restroom....
We all must move to marketing online or our businesses will die a slow, painful death....okay perhaps a little too dramatic but you get my point.
The problem? Your sponsor may not know where to begin either BUT...you could learn together. Make sure that you keep track of everything. Track your URLs (there are a few free sites for this) so you know which advertising campaigns are working and which ones aren't. Learn how to write effective emails - search online for free courses. And discover where to buy the best double opt-in leads for your company. Unfortunately the best to figure this out is to purchase a small list, run your ad and watch how well it does. Only then will you know if it was worth your money.
Keep a WORD file of every site you're using, the ad copy you used, when you posted, when you have to renew the ad, etc. Remember to keep track of the costs as well. The ads no good if it's costing more than it's bringing into your business.
Then....
Share the information with your team AND your sponsor. Perhaps if we would remember we're in this together we'd all be doing better.
Remember what we all love most about Network Marketing....everyone has the ability to win at the game of financial independence. This includes YOU.
It's also important to remember that you must keep it all going at the same time. If you stop doing one thing just so you can do another then you're not going to get anywhere. You need to do as many of the things I mentioned in Part 1 as possible.
How do you do that without going nuts or spending all of your time on marketing/advertising?
Schedule time everyday just for marketing/advertising and give your business a marketing/advertising budget. Stay within that budget - no matter what.
Getting started will take the longest. I'd recommend creating your ads and emails first -- even before you know where you're going to post them or who you're going to send them to. That way once you know what sources you're going to use all you have to do is copy and paste from your file then make notes about each campaign.
Keep it as simple as possible and learn how to automate it so you can get back some of your free time. For now though, remember that you'll have to give up some of your free time in order to get this set up and working for you. Get serious, stay serious and hit the ground running. Don't ever quit until you have achieved your goal...

How To make Money w/ Google Adwords
Can you really make money from this?
Late 2003, I think was the first time an eBook popped up that claimed that one could make money from Google Adwords. The main method that was revealed involved combining Google Adwords and the Clickbank affiliate program, to make money, online, everyday almost on autopilot.
Please allow me to very quickly outline how you can make money on the internet, using this system. Here are 2 things you need to get started...
1) You need a Google Adwords account. => http://adwords.google.com/
2) You also have to sign up as a Clickbank affiliate => http://www.clickbank.com/
Ok, so how does it work? Well, you simply go to clickbank.com and on the main page you click on "Promote Products" on the right. You will be taken to the index page of all products being sold via Clickbank. Each product is listed with a short description and the percentage you make as an affiliate.
Just select the product you wish to promote, grab your affiliate promotion URL, by clicking on the [earn 50%]. Your personal affiliate link will pop up, just copy and paste that, into a text editor like notepad. The next thing I like to do is visit the main sales page of the product I have selected, and select some benefits from the sales copy, I can then use these to write my Google Adwords Ad.
Alright then, how do you write your Ad? The general profitable Google Adwords format that has seemed to work for many is like this. Line one your heading ask a question, line two mention a feature of the product or eBook, line 3 give a benefit, then line 4 your websites address goes there.
Once you have selected your budget and you submit your ad, it will probably start showing on the Google network within the next 10 minutes. When searchers see your Google ad, they click on it and Google will charge you for every click, according to how much you bid on a particular keyword. If the searcher who clicks on your ad, then goes ahead and buys from the site, you will receive the respective commission from Clickbank, and you can check your earnings when you login to your clickbank account.
However, there are 2 things to watch out for... Your Return on Investment (ROI) and your Click through Rate (CTR). The ROI helps you determine how profitable your Google Ad is, when you subtract the cost of running your ads from the amount earned in your clickbank account. The CTR helps you fine tune your ad so you can increase the number of people clicking on it especially if its a profitable ad, if more people are clicking on the ad itself it would probably result in an increase in your affiliate income. In Conclusion... You can also use Google Adwords to promote your own websites and other non clickbank products too, you just need to adopt and adjust the system I have outlined above.
